Charltons believes in  and is committed to training knowledge and culture building strong and collaborative working partnerships and relationships where we share knowledge and exchange information, where we are accessible, helpful and approachable.

We regularly publish newsletters on aspects of Hong Kong or PRC law.  Our lawyers are encouraged to submit articles for publication in legal and professional publications. We prepare briefings for clients to keep them up to date on legal or regulatory changes that might affect their businesses.  We also provide training for directors and other key company personnel on their duties and obligations under Hong Kong law.

Our continued success depends on our nurturing the talent of our people. We encourage our lawyers to be life-long learners and pursue continued education. We regularly organise in-house training and CPD courses with partner firms and with professionals from other disciplines and facilitate study leave when possible.

As a boutique practice, our junior associates play an active role in our team. They work closely with partners and senior lawyers on assigned matters and regularly attend client meetings. They are exposed to a wide range of matters and transactions including, listings, mergers and acquisitions, restructurings, due diligence, the law of the PRC, Myanmar Law, funds law, private equity and other commercial law matters.

Our junior associates also assist in the research and preparation of our regular published newsletters and other ‘know-how’ publications. We further involve junior lawyers in the different industry consultations processes in which we are often involved and sometimes coordinate.
