Fund management veteran Josephine Price shares insights on social impact investing in Myanamar at IWF HK lunch hosted by Julia Charlton of Charltons

Josephine Price, Co-Founder and Managing Director of Anthem Asia, an independent, women-led investment group focused on impact investing in Myanmar presented insights on her journey since 2012 in establishing a fund management group focussed on Myanmar.

The highly engaged audience at the lunch event organised and hosted by Julia Charlton on behalf of IWF HK on 25 September 2019 included other fund managers, professional investors, social impact supply chain professionals and sustainability experts.

Despite an exceptionally challenging market, in August 2018 Anthem Asia successfully raised US$34.5 million for the Anthem Asia Myanmar SME Venture Fund, which focuses on providing growth and expansion capital to SME’s operating in Myanmar and is backed by the IFC, a member of the World Bank Group and the Dutch Good Growth Fund, a Dutch government initiative to improve access to finance for SMEs in developing countries.
